This policy outlines the requirements for listing products on Tilt. As a fashion platform, we strictly prohibit the listing and selling of non-fashion items. This policy ensures compliance with our guidelines and UK laws, addressing counterfeit items, illegal practices, and non-fashion product restrictions.


Prohibited Items

Tilt is a Fashion-Only Platform

  • Prohibited Non-Fashion Items: The sale of non-fashion items is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Bullion and Coins: Precious metals, coins, and currency-related items.

    • Electronics: Phones, tablets, computers, and other electronic devices.

    • Collectibles and Art: Paintings, sculptures, and other collectible or artistic items.

  • Only fashion accessories directly related to clothing (such as belts, hats, scarves, handbags), jewellery and watches (as outlined below) are allowed.

General Requirements

  • All products must be genuine, accurately described, and compliant with UK laws and regulations.

  • Sellers must provide clear and accurate product information, including brand, condition, materials, and origin.

  • No items that violate intellectual property rights, including counterfeit or replica products, are permitted.

Prohibited Listings

  • Counterfeit Goods: Any product that is a direct copy or imitation of a brand’s product without permission.

  • Replica Items: Items that are designed to mimic the appearance of a branded product without authorization, including:

    • Replica Football Shirts: Any item that imitates official sports team apparel, including football shirts, jerseys, and other merchandise without the express permission of the brand or team.

    • Fashion Replicas: Clothing, accessories, or footwear that imitate the design, pattern, or style of established fashion brands without proper authorization.

  • Illegal Products: Any fashion product restricted or prohibited under UK law, including items containing banned materials (e.g., certain animal skins) or promoting illegal activities.

  • Infringing Designs: Products that unlawfully incorporate protected design elements, including logos, patterns, and trademarks.

  • Misleading Listings: Listings containing false or misleading information about the product’s origin, quality, or authenticity.

Jewellery and Watch Policy

  • Permitted Jewellery:

    • Fashion Jewellery: Costume jewellery and accessories made from non-precious materials such as beads, imitation pearls, plastic, or base metals.

    • Fine Jewellery: Jewellery made from precious metals (gold, silver, platinum) and containing genuine gemstones (diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, etc.) is allowed.

    • Luxury Jewellery: High-end jewellery from luxury brands (e.g., Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Bulgari) is permitted, provided authenticity and value can be verified.

    • Sterling Silver Jewellery: Sterling silver jewellery is allowed, but sellers must provide hallmark details or proof of authenticity when requested.

    • Plated Jewellery: Items that are gold, silver, or rhodium-plated are allowed and must be accurately described in the listing.

  • Permitted Watches:

    • Fashion watches made of non-precious materials (e.g., stainless steel, leather, plastic) and luxury watches (e.g., Rolex, Omega) are permitted.

    • Watches containing precious metals or gemstones are allowed, but sellers must provide documentation or proof of authenticity when requested.

  • Jewellery and Watch Verification Precautions:

    • Authenticity Documentation: Sellers are required to provide certificates of authenticity, hallmark information, or proof of purchase for any item made from precious metals or containing genuine gemstones.

    • Luxury Brand Verification: Any luxury jewellery or watches must include documentation such as certificates, receipts, or appraisals to verify authenticity and value.

    • Detailed Descriptions: Listings must clearly describe the materials used (e.g., solid gold, sterling silver, plated metals) and whether gemstones are genuine or imitation.

    • Seller Transparency: Sellers must disclose any relevant hallmark or certification details in their product descriptions and respond to buyer inquiries regarding authenticity.

Brand Authenticity Verification

  • Sellers must provide documentation proving the authenticity of branded items when requested.

  • High-risk brands and luxury items may require additional verification steps, such as submitting proof of purchase or original receipts.

Description and Imagery Requirements

  • Product descriptions must accurately reflect the item's condition, materials, and brand.

  • Images must be clear, unaltered, and depict the actual product for sale. Stock photos are not permitted unless used with permission from the brand.

  • The use of brand names, trademarks, or other identifiers in listings must comply with the brand’s official usage guidelines.

Prohibited Keywords and Descriptions

  • Avoid using terms such as β€œinspired by,” β€œreplica,” β€œfake,” or any language that suggests the product is not genuine.

  • Do not use brand names in a way that misleads customers about the affiliation, origin, or endorsement of the product.

Reporting and Enforcement

  • Customers and other sellers can report listings suspected of violating this policy.

  • Reported listings will be reviewed, and actions may include removal of the listing, account suspension, or referral to legal authorities if necessary.

Prohibited Replicas

  • Replica Football Shirts: Any item that imitates official sports team apparel, such as football shirts and jerseys, without the express permission of the brand or team.

  • Replica Fashion Items: Clothing, accessories, or footwear designed to imitate the look and style of any fashion brand without proper authorization.

  • Replica Designer Goods: Bags, shoes, and other items that mimic the designs of luxury or designer brands without proper licensing or authorization.

  • Any product marketed as a β€œreplica” or using similar terms that suggest it is not an original or authorized item.


Enforcement and Penalties

  • Violations of this policy may result in immediate removal of the listing, account suspension, and/or legal action.

  • Repeated violations can lead to permanent suspension of the seller’s account and a ban from the platform.

Additional Guidelines

  • Reporting Violations:

    • Users are encouraged to report any product they believe violates these policies. Reports can be submitted through support@tilt.app..

  • Policy Updates:

    • TILT reserves the right to update or modify this Content Policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through [communication channel, e.g., email, platform notifications].

  • Responsibility:

    • Sellers are responsible for ensuring their products comply with these policies. Familiarize yourself with the guidelines to contribute positively to the TILT community.


Agreement to Policies

By listing products on TILT, sellers agree to comply with all the above guidelines and policies. Non-compliance can result in penalties as described.
