# Running Breaks

One box, everyone in. A box break lets you split a sealed TCG box into spots, sell them to buyers, and open the box live for everyone.

#### Set up your break

You can set it up during your stream, or in advance from a scheduled Live Room so your live runs faster.

* Open **Create Listing** and choose **Box Break**.
* Cover photo: take or upload a photo of the sealed box.
* Details: give it a clear title and description, so buyers know exactly what's being opened.
* Break format: **Random assignment**, or **Pick your spot**.
* **Assign spots automatically**: if this is on, buyers get their spot as they pay. If it's off, you draw the whole board at once, which ends selling.
* Spots: in **Manage Spots**, add spots one by one, paste a list, or import one.
* Price: choose **Buy Now** with a price per spot, or **Auction** with a start price, reserve price and timer.
* Shipping: check the package details per spot, and edit them if needed.

Tap **Start Selling**, or **Save to Queue** to start later.

#### Run the break

* Show the box sealed before you open it.
* Keep all product, sorting and allocation on camera at all times.
* You can run one Auction break and one Buy Now break at the same time.
* You can switch a break between Auction and Buy Now partway through, for example to sell the last spots at a fixed price or the other way around.
* Start and finish the break in the same live. If a break is still selling when your live ends, Tilt cancels it and refunds every buyer.
* Ship each buyer the cards from their spot within 2 business days.

#### Break rules

* List every spot and explain the format before sales open.
* Every spot gets something. Never sell more spots than there are items. If a spot might not get a hit, say upfront what that buyer gets instead, for example an equal share of the bulk.
* No pre-searching, weighing or manipulating product or outcomes.
* No "chase one big spot" breaks. Bonuses must go equally to every spot and be announced in advance.
* You can't cancel a break because of how spots were assigned.
* Refunds go through Tilt only. No side bets.

Breaking these rules can lead to a permanent ban. See our [Trading Card Games Policy](/tilt-help-desk/for-sellers/policies-and-guidelines/trading-card-games-policy.md).
