Content Policy

At TILT, we are committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful community centred around clothing and fashion. To maintain this environment, the following content categories are strictly prohibited on our platform. Any content falling under these categories will be subject to removal, and repeated violations may lead to further penalties, including account suspension or termination.


Prohibited Content

Religion

  • Definition: Content that involves discussions, endorsements, criticisms, or debates related to religious beliefs, practices, doctrines, or figures.

  • Prohibited Content Includes:

    • Endorsing or denouncing specific religious beliefs or practices.

    • Debating theological doctrines or religious interpretations.

    • Depicting religious figures negatively or disrespectfully.

  • Examples:

    • A post arguing for the superiority of one religion over another.

    • Critiquing religious rituals or ceremonies.

Politics

  • Definition: Content related to political parties, candidates, elections, governmental policies, or political ideologies.

  • Prohibited Content Includes:

    • Endorsements or oppositions of political candidates or parties.

    • Discussions promoting specific political agendas or ideologies.

    • Content that could influence or disrupt political processes.

  • Examples:

    • Campaign advertisements or endorsements for a political candidate.

    • Debates advocating for a particular political ideology.

Hate Speech

  • Definition: Content that promotes, incites, or justifies hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics.

  • Protected Characteristics Include:

    • Race, ethnicity, national origin

    • Gender, gender identity

    • Sexual orientation

    • Disability

    • Religion

    • Age

  • Prohibited Content Includes:

    • Slurs, derogatory language, or demeaning stereotypes.

    • Calls to harm or discriminate against specific groups.

  • Examples:

    • Using racial slurs to describe a group of people.

    • Advocating for discriminatory policies against a particular ethnicity.

Violence

  • Definition: Content that depicts, glorifies, or incites acts of violence or physical harm.

  • Prohibited Content Includes:

    • Graphic images or detailed descriptions of violent acts.

    • Glorification or celebration of violent behavior.

    • Instructions or encouragement to commit violence.

  • Examples:

    • Images showing graphic injuries or violent confrontations.

    • Posts celebrating violent events or actions.

Illegal Activities

  • Definition: Content that promotes, describes, or instructs on activities that are illegal under applicable laws.

  • Prohibited Content Includes:

    • Instructions for committing crimes (e.g., drug manufacturing, hacking).

    • Promotion or advertisement of illegal goods or services.

    • Descriptions or endorsements of criminal behavior.

  • Examples:

    • A guide on how to produce illegal drugs.

    • Advertisements for counterfeit products.

Drugs, Alcohol, and Substance Use

  • Definition: Content related to the use, promotion, or depiction of controlled substances, recreational drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or other intoxicants.

  • Prohibited Content Includes:

    • Promotion, glorification, or encouragement of drug or alcohol use.

    • Instructions on how to manufacture, obtain, or use illegal or recreational drugs.

    • Sale, solicitation, or advertisement of controlled substances.

    • Graphic depictions of substance use that may be triggering or glamorizing.

  • Examples:

    • Using or appearing under the influence of illegal or recreational drugs on stream.

    • Consuming alcohol or other intoxicants in a way that promotes or glamorizes use.

    • Displaying drug paraphernalia or substances (real or implied) during broadcasts.

    • Describing or joking about personal drug use in a positive or encouraging way.

Adult Content

  • Definition: Explicit material that is sexual in nature or otherwise inappropriate for a general audience.

  • Prohibited Content Includes:

    • Pornographic images or videos.

    • Nudity in contexts that are not artistically or educationally justified.

    • Sexual content that is explicit, graphic, or intended to arouse.

  • Examples:

    • Images depicting explicit sexual acts.

    • Written content containing graphic sexual descriptions.

Misinformation

  • Definition: False or misleading information that can cause harm, particularly regarding critical areas such as health and safety.

  • Prohibited Content Includes:

    • False claims about medical treatments or health practices.

    • Misleading information about safety protocols or emergency procedures.

    • Unverified statements that could lead to public harm.

  • Examples:

    • Promoting unapproved medical treatments as cures for diseases.

    • Sharing fake news about public safety incidents.

Bullying and Harassment

  • Definition: Content intended to intimidate, shame, or demean individuals or groups.

  • Prohibited Content Includes:

    • Personal attacks, threats, or derogatory remarks.

    • Persistent targeting of individuals or groups to harass or bully.

    • Encouraging others to engage in harassment or bullying.

  • Examples:

    • Posting threats against a user for their opinions.

    • Coordinating harassment campaigns against a group.

Self-Harm and Suicide

  • Definition: Content that promotes, depicts, or encourages self-harm, suicidal ideation, or related behaviors.

  • Prohibited Content Includes:

    • Graphic depictions of self-injury or suicide methods.

    • Encouraging or romanticizing self-harm.

    • Content that may trigger or distress individuals struggling with mental health issues.

  • Examples:

    • Images showing self-harm injuries.

    • Posts encouraging others to commit suicide.

Sensitive Health Topics

  • Definition: Content related to health that involves unverified, harmful treatments or misinformation.

  • Prohibited Content Includes:

    • Promotion of unapproved medical treatments or supplements.

    • Misleading information about health conditions or prevention methods.

    • False claims about the efficacy of health products.

  • Examples:

    • Advertising a supplement with unproven health benefits.

    • Sharing false information about disease prevention.


Content Enforcement and Penalties

We have established a tiered enforcement system to ensure compliance with our Content Policy. This system is designed to address violations progressively, allowing users to correct their behaviour while maintaining the integrity of the TILT community.

First Violation

  • Issuance of a written warning to the offending user.

  • Immediate removal of the offending content or product from the platform.

Second Violation

  • Temporary suspension of the seller's account for 7 days.

Third Violation

  • Permanent suspension and termination of the seller's account.


Additional Guidelines

  • Reporting Violations:

    • Users are encouraged to report any content they believe violates these policies. Reports can be submitted through support@tilt.app.

  • Appeals Process:

    • Users who believe their content was removed or their account was penalized in error may submit an appeal through support@tilt.app. The TILT moderation team will review the appeals.

  • Policy Updates:

    • TILT reserves the right to update or modify this Content Policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through [communication channel, e.g., email, platform notifications].

  • Responsibility:

    • Users are responsible for ensuring their content complies with these policies. Familiarize yourself with the guidelines to contribute positively to the TILT community.


Agreement to Policies

By listing products on TILT, sellers agree to comply with all the above guidelines and policies. Non-compliance can result in penalties as described.
